With the home tuition programme in Winchester offered by HLI, you will benefit from 15 fully customised private classes per week. These are delivered by one of the school’s fully qualified teachers in their family home, where you will be provided with three meals per day and be welcomed like one of the family.

Winchester offers residents a wide range of activities to enjoy, including visits to places of interest like The Great Hall, the City Space Museum, Marwell Zoo, and the famous Theatre Royal Winchester. If you practise certain sports or hobbies but aren’t sure of the best place to find a club, your host family might be able to point you in the right direction.

You will have a fairly large amount of free time to explore the city, since 15 hours per week is not excessively intensive for most people, and you will also have your daily meals provided by your host family. Every home tuition location has a Local Organiser nearby, who is available to resolve any and all issues you might have during your studies.
With this programme, you will be completely immersed in the target language and culture. The private lessons will take place at the teacher’s home and are tailored to your needs and interests. The programme also includes accommodation in a private bedroom (Sunday to Sunday) and 3 meals per day with the teacher’s family.
