Studying English with a Homestay teacher as a part of HLI’s Exeter programme is a great way to guarantee your progress, at the same time as giving yourself the chance to discover all the places of interest in and around Exeter. Your class schedule will be 15 hours of one-to-one classes, in which you can ask your host teacher to focus on either Speaking, Reading, Writing, or Listening skills, depending on what you feel you need to work on most. If you have an academic or professional opportunity coming up in the near future, you could even request to prepare yourself specifically for these challenges.

One of the main advantages of studying and living with your host teacher is that you will have constant access to a conversation in English, but also you will be able to ask for tips and guidance from your host family on how to get the most out of your time in Exeter.
With this programme, you will be completely immersed in the target language and culture. The private lessons will take place at the teacher’s home and are tailored to your needs and interests. The programme also includes accommodation in a private bedroom (Sunday to Sunday) and 3 meals per day with the teacher’s family.
