Taking a General Course with EC Bristol will equip you with the ability to use your English with confidence in a diverse variety of situations, thanks to the balanced approach on all four main areas of language study: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

You’ll be participating in 20 classes per week, totalling at 15 hours. This will let you see plenty of progress, and at the same time allow you to take in Bristol and everything it has to offer.

With this programme, you will be completely immersed in the target language and culture. The private lessons will take place at the teacher’s home and are tailored to your needs and interests. The programme also includes accommodation in a private bedroom (Sunday to Sunday) and 3 meals per day with the teacher’s family.
You can customise your stay by booking additional lessons, activities, courses for specific purposes, private bathroom, accommodation of superior standard, airport transfer and close supervision for young students.

English lessons in the morning and afternoon. Two full day trips a week (Bath, Cotswold Water Park and Wells) including an overnight trip to London (including a river cruise boat party, sightseeing tour and a visit to a top London attraction).

This is a fairly easy commitment to fit into most peoples’ schedules thanks to requiring just 13 hours of class time per week, but will also be enough to make significant progress over the course of several weeks.

The educational approach for this programme is mainly focused on understanding and comprehension, and for that reason more time and attention is given to Speaking and Listening activities. As part of your weekly classes, you will have 2 special interest classes, which allow you to request a specific topic or grammar point from your teacher. Many students take advantage of this to get extra help related to their academic and professional goals.
