80 English General Courses for adults in Brighton

During high season students might have lessons in the mornings, afternoons or a combination of both.

You can start this course online before you join in school. The content and schedule will be the same.

Students who wish to study on this programme for more than 23 weeks can join the Diploma of General English Course.

General Language English classes are an opportunity for a student to improve not only their speaking skills, but also to practice reading, writing, and listening. Each lesson consists of a mix of grammar, vocabulary, and communicative activities to keep the class lively and interesting.

The course includes 20 lessons per week of General English and 10 lessons per week of Elective Lessons - such as 21st Century Business, Exam Skills, English for Academic Purposes, Confident Speaking etc.

This course is for students with basic knowledge of the language, who have some fluency, but who still have problems with basic grammar and little confidence when expressing themselves.

This course is for students who can already communicate with others quite well, but who still make frequent mistakes, creating regular misunderstandings.

This course can be booked by students with lower-intermediate or intermediate level of English only.

Additional 10 lessons per week: GBP 86 per week.

This course takes place at the English Language Centre (ELC) Hove, a partner school of Loxdale English Centre.

The Summer General Course is best suited to students 18-21 years of age.

Homestay (Full-Board) accommodation is not available in conjunction with this course.
The local bus service is needed to and from the school daily and costs around GBP 26 per week.
