4 English General Courses for adults in Christchurch

Christchurch is a city that is best known for its outstanding natural beauty but also features a variety of historical and architectural curiosities to discover in the Central City, such as Cathedral Square or the Bridge of Remembrance. In HLI’s home tuition programme, you will study English through a schedule of 15 one-to-one sessions per week, the contents of which are decided by the student and their needs.

There is something for everyone in Christchurch, whether it’s the busy city centre with all of its commercial activity or the more trendy and young areas of Ilam and Riccarton. Of course, watersports such as surfing are a local favourite. Whatever you like to do with your free time, your host family will be happy to help you find what you’re looking for during your stay in Christchurch.

All meals are provided by the host, as this is a full board experience. If you need support for any reason regarding your course or accommodation, HLI asks guests to contact their Local Organiser staff located in the city.
With this programme, you will be completely immersed in the target language and culture. The private lessons will take place at the teacher’s home and are tailored to your needs and interests. The programme also includes accommodation in a private bedroom (Sunday to Sunday) and 3 meals per day with the teacher’s family.
You can customise your stay by booking additional lessons, activities, courses for specific purposes, private bathroom, accommodation of superior standard, airport transfer and close supervision for young students.
