Location: CIE - College of International Education Summer Centre is located in a residential area in the north of Oxford, on a main road running directly from the centre. Oxford is a 10 minute bus ride from the school into the core of the city, which has shops, cafes and restaurants as well as the University of Oxford intertwined in the streets.

Age Range: Programmes at CIE - College of International Education Summer Centre are separated into juniors from ten to thirteen years and teens from fourteen to sixteen. These groups have different course and activity times.

Course structure: The English programme is split into two. For one part there will be standard language courses learning about grammar, vocabulary and communication. The second part is based around project work, which for the juniors is around drama and for the teens is around 21st century skills. The project allows students to use their English skills in a creative environment.

Girls accommodation: Female students will be accommodated in Wychwood Campus. There are shared rooms between two and five students, and a shared common room.

Boys accommodation: Male students will be accommodated in Jesus College’s Stevens Close. The accommodation is in a 3 person apartment with single rooms and a shared bathroom and lounge.

Visa Documents

Nationals from USA do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 10. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
