Requirements British council member schools need to fulfill | An overall assessment of the level of quality displayed by the institution is made by dissecting each of the following departments within the organisation and assessing their level of quality; Management Standard, Resources and Environment Standard, Teaching and Learning Standard, Welfare and Student Services Standard and Care of under 18s Standard. The requirements by the British Council are that each division must be of excellent quality and provide the student with a high level of teaching, a diverse understanding of the culture within the UK and look after the overall welfare of the student whilst under their care. |
Complaint/arbitration procedure offered by British council | The British Council Accreditation Team deals with any complaints that can not be resolved between the student and the school. Students can send their complaint in the post or via email; |
Any guarantees for students in case of bankruptcy of a language school associated with British council | Students who are already studying in the UK are entitled to a course replacement at a school close to the original should a school accredited by the British Council permanently close. This applicable for those whose course duration has not been completed or the start date for the course is two weeks or less than the school closure. The student will be allocated a different school with no extra fees. They will attempt to replicate the original course as much as possible but it can not be guaranteed to be exact. |
