Studying Italian in Verona could be just what you need to take your language skills to the next level, and with HLI’s home tuition programme, you can do so while living in your teacher’s home. The 15 lessons you enjoy per week on this programme will be based on materials and topics that you personally want to learn, as the classes are exclusively for you.

Verona is a small city, so it’s easy to learn where your favourite places are - and even easier with the help of your host family who will show you around this charming location. You can look forward to a culture that appreciates good food and wine, as well as one that is very welcoming to internationals who are learning the Italian language. Outdoor activities are Verona’s strong suit, offering spectacular scenes for enjoying cycling, mountain hiking, and so on - not to mention the city’s proximity to Lake Garda.

Your daily meals are included as part of the experience. HLI encourages guests to contact their Local Organiser agent within Verona in order to resolve any issues that may arise during their studies.
With this programme, you will be completely immersed in the target language and culture. The private lessons will take place at the teacher’s home and are tailored to your needs and interests. The programme also includes accommodation in a private bedroom (Sunday to Sunday) and 3 meals per day with the teacher’s family.
You can customise your stay by booking additional lessons, activities, courses for specific purposes, private bathroom, accommodation of superior standard, airport transfer and close supervision for young students.

The course price includes teaching materials, a guided tour of the old town centre of Trapani and an Italian conversation session on a bar terrace every week.

This Italian Language Course offers four daily lessons from Monday to Friday. It provides a comprehensive study of all aspects of the Italian language, including grammar and communication. The course is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. Additionally, it includes 15 hours of extracurricular activities such as excursions, movies, parties, cooking lessons, pizza dinners, and art visits.

This course focuses on grammar.

Standard group course, one or two weeks in Sestri Levante and one or two weeks in Florence. Groups of maximum 6 students in Sestri Levante and 8 students in Florence.

It is also possible to choose other courses (Intensive group, Standard plus 5, Standard plus 10 or Individual, Duetto or Trietto).

Minimum 1 week in Florence and 1 week in Sestri, extensions are possible.
The inscription fee for this programme is charged twice, once per school.

Students choose between grammar lessons or conversation lessons.

Classes run from Monday to Friday, either at noon or in the evening.

This programme involves living with your teacher in their home, while you are provided with three meals per day and 15 lessons per week that are specifically tailored to the topics and grammatical structures that you personally want to focus on.

Rome is well-known for not having a high number of fluent English speakers, and this will play to your advantage as you will be incentivised to put your Italian skills to real use every day to integrate. In any case, your host family will be happy to help you in any way they can while you find your feet in this culturally rich city. You will be able to get around easily thanks to the bus, tram and metro services which give coverage to the entire city, and are considered reliable and safe by the locals.

It’s in this beautiful city that you will study Italian for 15 hours per week, all while living in your teacher’s home and benefitting from a full board meal plan and access to conversation in Italian practically whenever you want it.

This is a city where most attractions and places of interest are within walking distance of each other, so you will find it easy to move independently once you start exploring Florence for yourself outside of class hours. Your host family will give you the best advice on how to move around while not getting too caught up in the tourist areas - one of the many ways that you will benefit from their local expertise.

By taking the Intensive course with StudioItalia, you will receive 20 structured and carefully planned lessons per week, which will put you on track to developing a good connection with your teachers and your colleagues. Whether in the free time this course affords you, or through the extracurricular activities organised by the school, you’ll be able to spend plenty of time using your rapidly improving Italian language skills out and about in Rome.

Students are expected to do most of the talking in class, rather than the traditional method of constant teacher instruction. Instead, the teacher is there to guide the class through interactive and engaging activities. One of the most important skills in learning a second language is not being embarrassed to make mistakes, and with students leading the way in these courses, you’ll be able to build that confidence.

Even so, students can still expect to cover a reasonable amount of content concerning grammar and vocabulary.

General Italian courses run all year round with a programme divided into 6 levels, according to the CEFR Common European Framework, from beginner to advanced level (A1-C2). All the courses develop practical communication skills. Students from the age of 16 are accepted and the minimum period of attendance is one week.

The size of the classes is a maximum of 10 participants, meaning that your teacher will get to know your individual strengths and weaknesses as the course progresses and be able to help you with any language obstacle you may encounter.

This course offers the chance to learn Italian while exploring the city and its surroundings. It primarily focuses on speaking and listening skills, with insights into Italian and Neapolitan culture. The main topic is general Italian for daily activities, but teachers are flexible and open to any topics suggested by students or that come up during the course.

This course includes 10 lessons a week, 2 lessons a day. One lesson is 45 minutes. Minimum 3 students.
