If there are only 2 students in the class, the 20 group lessons will be converted into 15 two-to-one lessons per week. If there is only 1 student in the class, the 20 group lessons will be converted into 10 one-to-one lessons per week.

The Intensive course from Laboling in their Milazzo location is best suited to students who would like to learn Italian in a relaxed and easygoing environment where people of many different nationalities come together to support one another's language goals. 20 lessons per week.

In terms of methodology, the school has a preference for activities that encourage students to get talking in Italian - however grammar, vocabulary and accuracy are still given their due importance. Small class sizes support the academy’s preference for communication activity, as it’s much easier to speak with your teachers and classmates with a maximum of just 9 other students in the room.

The Standard course has something to offer students of the Italian language no matter what their level might be since groups are divided from Beginner (A1), all the way up to Expert (C2). As the approach taken on this course is general in nature, you will cover all the skills related to reading, listening, speaking, grammar, and so on.

Lessons run from Monday to Friday, with 20 taking place per week - 50 minutes each. If you have some level of Italian already, then it’s possible to start this course on almost any Monday of the year. Those who would describe themselves as absolute beginners can start the course once per month.

You will be asked to take a placement test after signing up, in order to assign you to your initial group level.

This course includes 20 hours of Italian language and conversation lessons per week and a 2 hour guided excursion.

This is the academy’s most in-demand course, since it aims to provide a general approach to the Italian language for the students, and consists of 20 lessons per week.

If you want to start this course, you will have the opportunity to do so every two weeks. Class sizes are limited to 12 students per group, which will allow you to participate more easily and speak more Italian, and also allow you to chat with and get to know your fellow students.

The Intensive Italian course from Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is the main offering among their programme options and involves taking 4 classes every day (20 per week). Most of the lessons’ focus is directed towards verbal communication, meaning you will spend a significant amount of time speaking in class and resolving any issues you have with pronunciation or listening skills. Even so, the elements of Italian language study that are related to vocabulary and grammar are still given their due importance.

This academy believes that play is just as important as work, and for that reason, they organise extracurricular activities for students to enjoy in the afternoons and evenings. These might involve taking day trips to museums, wine cellars, cultural discussion groups, and more. Through these activities, the school wants to show you that learning a language is much more than just learning in the classroom, and instead is all about having fun using your new or expanding knowledge of the language.

On Omnilingua’s Standard Italian course, you will take 20 hours of lessons every week. The morning sessions will be dedicated to the formal aspects of language study such as grammar and vocabulary, while the afternoon classes are reserved for cultural and leisure activities that are intended to enrich your experience. Some of the activities that you might expect to take part in during the afternoon sessions include pizza diners or wine tasting.
Note regarding the length of daily lessons: In groups with only two or three participants the length of daily lessons will be reduced by one hour. The lesson time will be reduced by half in groups with only one participant.

Course B refers to the school’s Complete course, which is the traditional group format. The class sizes are kept small at just 8 participants, giving each student easy access to their teacher when they would like to ask questions and resolve any language obstacles. All learners on this course are assigned to a group that most corresponds to their current Italian language ability, which is done via a placement test that takes place at the beginning of the course.

If students cannot be placed in an appropriate group due to a lack of students at their level, then they may receive an adapted form of private tuition, in exchange for reducing the total number of class hours.
