- Lessons are 40 minutes long, which is shorter than in other schools.
Location: EF International Language Center Oxford is located in a city with unique educational history and background, Oxford, England. The school is housed in the heart of the city, on private park-like grounds close to Oxford Brookes University, within a 30-minutes walk of the Radcliffe Camera, the University Botanical Gardens, the Covered Market, Bodleian Library and much more. A 5-minute walk from public transport, students of EF Oxford have shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets, all within easy reach. The Oxford Train station is under a 30-minute journey from the school via public transport, ensuring that all arrivals and departures can be made with ease.
School facilities: The school offers students a wide range of facilities, including a glass-roofed cafeteria, a fitness room, an indoor swimming pool and a multimedia lecture hall. All classrooms are bright and spacious and offer everything students may need to reach their language goals in a comfortable and motivating environment. Additional facilities include a computer lab, large park-like private grounds, a games room and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise. All classrooms have heating, air conditioning and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.
Social and Cultural: EF Oxford often organises excursions to Westend shows, in addition to trips to locations such as Stonehenge, Manchester, Liverpool, Dublin and Paris!

This is the most popular course offered by EF Oxford, due to the intensive weekly timetable that ensures participants get the results they are looking for. Students take on a total of 32 classes, which span both the morning and afternoon. The focus of the methodology used by the school is general, meaning that you will be able to apply your knowledge and skills to any situation that you might find yourself in.

Course material
Generally course material has to be purchased by the student. The costs of course material will be approximately 55 € per course level.
Comments about courses
The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:
- Course literature (for English destinations) for bookings 1-6 weeks long: 55 EUR
- Course literature (for English destinations) for bookings 7-12 weeks long: 95 EUR
- Course literature (for non-English destinations) for bookings 1-9 weeks long: 80 EUR
- Course literature (for non- English destinations) for bookings 10-18 weeks long: 145 EUR
Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).
Students must book a travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Oxford. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school: - Two weeks: EUR 85.
- Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.
Accommodation: - The twin room homestay included in the tuition price can be upgraded to a single room homestay for EUR 55 per week.
- Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
- Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.
Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample times and lessons will fall within the time frames stated depending on availability and time of year.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 120 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.

Visa Documents
Nationals from Singapore do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 10. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
