EAQUALS (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services)
Requirements EAQUALS member schools need to fulfill | EAQUALS will assess the following areas within the education centre for quality; Management and Administration; Teaching and Learning; Course Design and Supporting Systems; Assessment and Certification; Academic Resources; Learning Environment; Client Services; Quality Assurance; Staff Profile and Development; Staff Employment Terms; Internal Communications; External Communications. If the centre meets the quality standards as stipulated by the EAQUALS rights and obligations, EAQUALS membership is awarded for the following 4 years. |
Complaint/arbitration procedure offered by EAQUALS | Grievances against a member of EAQUALS by a student or member of staff must be made by completing a complaints form. This is then reviewed by the Executive Director and if the complaint is to be continued, a response from the school is requested. If the complaint is dismissed at this stage, the student will be informed of the outcome. Once the school responds, an internal assessment of the case will be carried out and a decision will be made to continue with the complaint or not. If the complaint withstands then EAQUALS will act as a mediator between the school and the student to find a resolution. The student will be informed if the case is dismissed and any further action will need to involve an Ombudsman, who will assess the case and whose decision is non refutable. |
