Location: CAVC English Academy Cardiff is an English language institute located in the historic, capital city of Wales, Cardiff. The school is housed within the Cardiff and Vale College, in a modern building with fantastic facilities. Surrounding the school there are several links to public transport, amenities, eateries, shops, cafes, restaurants and sites of social and cultural interest. Attractions within walking distance of the school include the Cardiff Market, the Museum of Cardiff, Tramshed Cardiff, Cardiff Castle, Techniquest science centre and much more.

Getting around: The school is under a 10-minute walk from the Cardiff Central train station, ensuring travel in and around the city, in addition to further afield, can be made easily.

School facilities: The school has a range of on-campus facilities such as a restaurant, cafeteria, library, garden, gym, auditorium and a Student Support Desk for any questions, queries or concerns that may arise.

All classrooms have electronic whiteboards, heating, air conditioning and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.

Course selection: Course selection has something suitable for students of all levels and various needs. Every programme comes with the essential General English package of 15 lessons per week, but from there, students can add additional subjects such as Communication Skills, IELTS, and English for Work to their English Course, ensuring a fuller and more specific language tuition practice.

Visa Documents

Nationals from Singapore do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 10. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
