Location: EF International Language Center Tokyo is located in the fascinating and culturally rich city of Tokyo, Japan. The school's modern campus is in the popular Shibuya district, has bright and modern classrooms and a beautiful view of the Tokyo Skyline. The school is within walking distance of multiple shops, supermarkets, eateries and attractions such as the Hachiko memorial statue, the Meiji Jingu Shrine and the Bunkamura Art centre and much more. EF Tokyo has great access to the Shibuya Train station, a 4-minute walk from the school, allowing students easy access to further attractions such as the Senso-Ji Temple, the trendy Harajuku District, and the Tokyo Skytree observation deck. Haneda Airport is within a 50-minute train journey from the school.

Social and Cultural: EF Tokyo actively promotes local activities and excursions to their students. Ghibli Museum tours, excursions to Kyoto, Nikko, Mount Fuji and more, are regularly arranged by the school.

School facilities: The facilities of the school are modern, spacious and full of light. These facilities include a cafeteria, lounge area, computer lab, table tennis and free WIFI. Each classroom is equipped with air conditioning, heating and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.

Accreditations and Associations: EF Tokyo is accredited by EAQUALS for its excellence in language education.

School chain: EF was founded in Sweden over 55 years ago. It has since then helped millions of people experience new cultures, see new places and learn new things about the world and about themselves. Across the globe, they have more than 600 schools and offices in over 50 countries, delivering the best in education and student care throughout all locations. As a group, EF has hubs in Boston, London, Barcelona, Mexico City, São Paulo, Shanghai, Stockholm, Zürich, and more!

EF understands that language programmes can be much more than the sole process of learning a language, as cultural immersion and diversity play a key part in any student's educational and life development.

Throughout the EF schools, programmes are readily available to adults and juniors, for career, personal and educational development.

Rating: 3/5.0

Liked
Friendly teachers and staff and a familiar/open atmosphere. I had a super great host family who had a positive influence on my time in Japan.
Disliked
Lessons are not as effective. No precise explanation of grammar (you learn sentence structures for certain situations, but this makes it more difficult to learn to speak independently)

Questions and answers about EF International Language Center

  • We only offer our private lessons as an additional time studying alongside a course. Unfortunately we can’t offer only private lessons.
Francesca, Regional Sales Manager from EF - Apr 09, 2024
  • Yes, you can start every Monday. Please contact us in good time so that we can check availability with the school.
    Sabine Krafack, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 09, 2024
  • This school operates between 8:00 and 18:00. Usually their classes will be alternating between mornings and afternoons. Of course, I can put in a request for a certain type of schedule for her but that means that she may be placed in classes that are slightly deviating from her abilities to do so.

Francesca, Regional Sales Manager from EF - Apr 09, 2024
  • Unfortunately you can't come to class with your baby. Sorry for the bad news, but we need to ensure that classrooms are set up so that all of our students can concentrate effectively while learning.
Francesca, Regional Sales Manager, from EF Tokyo - Apr 18, 2024
