Location: EC English London is located in the cosmopolitan and historic English capital city of London. School facilities: The facilities within EC London are of a very high standard, offering everything a student may need to feel comfortable inside and outside of the classrooms. Course selection: At EC English the courses available for students include English for Work, Exam Preparation (FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS) and English in the City along with longer duration courses such as Academic Semester or year programmes.
Accommodation: EC London can assist with accommodation in Homestay and Residence facilities. Meal plans and double room facilities for students travelling together are also available.

With the General Course at EC English’s academy, you’ll come in for 20 dynamic classes every week (15 hours in total). Groups are available from the Beginner level all the way up to the Advanced levels, and your group placement will be determined by a test before you get started.
Having 15 hours of study per week is ideal, as it’s more than enough to make considerable progress in a relatively short period of time, but also gives you the chance to take in the world-famous city of London, and enjoy everything that it has to offer residents. For those who are interested, the course also includes complementary workshops for developing your CV in English, or improving specific skills such as pronunciation.

This course consists of 20 General English lessons and 10 English in the City lessons per week. These 10 lessons are focused around learning more about the city you are learning English in. You will learn about the art and culture and focus on how the locals use the language. Depending on the available timetable, students enrolled in this course will be taken outside the classroom once or twice per week. There will be assessments throughout the course which take place both in the classroom and through assignments. Additionally, there will be 5 weekly progress tests, 5 weekly tutorials and an exit test. Students will receive a certificate on completion in recognition of the skills they have learnt.

This course consists of 20 general English lessons and 10 English for work lessons per week. These 10 lessons focus on teaching the student skills for working in an English-speaking environment. This includes negotiations, management, HR, branding, promotional strategies, project management, business ethics, giving presentations, and preparing for interviews. There will be assessments throughout the course which take place both in the classroom and through assignments. “The additional module "English in the city" was not what I had imagined. It was simply additional lessons, the name "in the city" suggests otherwise.
I was used to lessons in the morning and free time in the afternoon from other language study trips. At EC English, you have at least two days off a week in the morning and lessons in the afternoon. This is unfavourable both in terms of concentration and the rest of the day.
There are too few toilets in the school.”

Generally course material has to be purchased by the student. The costs of course material will be approximately 7 £ per week.

Nationals from USA do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK.
