Location: Berlitz is located in Ireland’s capital, Dublin, and is one of the oldest language schools in the city. The school is housed in an old Georgian building in the Liberties, Dublin 8 neighbourhood. Part of the inner city, the Liberties is historically significant for its working class enterprise, but also for its literary significance as home to the child Oscar Wilde and establishments mentioned in Ulysses, the novel by James Joyce.
Getting around: The school is well connected with links to public transport. Museums and attractions are within walking distance including: Dublin Castle, Temple Bar, The National Gallery of Ireland, the Book of Kells, and Trinity College Dublin.
Course selection: Berlitz Dublin offers an extensive range of courses throughout the year. In addition to General English courses, suitable for students of all levels over various schedules and intensities, the school also supplies IELTS Exam Preparation, 40 plus Sports and Culture, Business English, Cambridge Exam Preparation, English for Medical Professionals, English for Aviation, and Executive English courses. Junior programmes are also available for students aged 16-18 years.
Social and cultural: Dublin has an abundance of cultural and social happenings that are not to be missed. A trip to the local Temple bar for a drink, visiting Dublin Castle or scouring through the city's many museums; there is something for everyone.

The first week of my course was also the final week of academic syllabus. Students completed their final exam the previous week so teachers do a lot of external exam prep and games on that week. I didn't need to spend 4 hours learning how to pass the IELTS exam!
The school also had an issue with the photocopier which made it difficult for teachers to do their planned lesson (Result: more than 4 hours watching Netflix series...)”

- How come the minimum level required to be accepted in a C1 exam preparation course must be a C1, if that is exactly the level that I want to prepare to obtain the official Cambridge qualification?“Students need to be at a C1 level to join the C1 class. On average, after attending a 12 week course at C1, students should be ready for the official exam. If someone has completed a B2 level then they can join the C1 class. If someone is at B2 level then the exam would be FCE for them.
