Location: ILC Birmingham is located in the bustling city of Birmingham, in England's West Midlands region. Near Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter and half a block from St. Paul’s Church, ILC is close to many bus and tram stops allowing for easy travel to the city’s big attractions. Discover Brindleyplace, the Symphony Hall and the Library of Birmingham, offering culture, cafes and restaurants. Additional attractions include the Ikon Art Gallery, Legoland, The National Sea Life Centre and the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.

Getting around: ILC Birmingham is a short walk from the St Chad’s tram stop, and Birmingham New Street railway station is slightly further away, at about 15 minutes walking distance. This being the main train station on the West Midlands line, travel to larger cities such as London, Manchester and Liverpool is quick and they each can be reached within about 2 hours.

Social and cultural: ILC has an engaging activities programme for students to enjoy outside of the classroom. In Birmingham, a variety of activities are free of charge. From alternative walking tours to pub nights by the canals, trips to the Museum of Birmingham and afternoons of interactive games in the student lounge, the school offers something for most tastes.

Generally course material has to be purchased by the student. The costs of course material will be approximately 40 £ per course level.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 60 £. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.

Visa Documents

Nationals from USA do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 10. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
Check visa requirements for nationals from other countries.
Nationals from countries that require a visa will receive documents from the school, related to booking confirmation, which is required for the visa application.
