Teacher Training Courses in Milazzo (Sicily)

Each week covers a module, with each module including 10 lessons on teaching Italian as a foreign language and 12 lesson observations.

Module 1 Programme:

• History and concepts of right-brain/left-brain modalities and directionality.
• Importance of the communicative method.
• Teaching multilingual vs. monolingual classes and the use of the first language in the classroom.
• Contemporary Italian language characteristics and its evolution.

Module 2 Programme:

• Strategies and activities to improve students' speaking abilities.
• Using videos, such as documentaries and advertisements, to teach Italian.
• Selecting and using songs for language teaching.
• "Glottodrama" methodologies and historical notes.
• Workshop on using authentic materials for teaching.
