  • Some airlines allow people aged 12 years and older to travel alone without adult supervision. When a child has reached this minimum age to travel alone without the procedures for unaccompanied minors, the airline does not require evidence of parental permission to travel alone. If the child has a passport, he or she can even travel internationally.
Obviously, this can vary depending on the nationality of the student, the country of destination and the airline, so it is best to contact the airline first for accurate and up-to-date information.
