HLI offers teacher homestays for those students who feel that they would benefit from the individual attention of a teacher, and also that they would enjoy the advantages of living with the teacher and their family. Cairns has a tropical climate, so you can look forward to improving your English while enjoying hot summers and mild winters. Your qualified English teacher will oversee your progress, provide you with three meals a day, and will be on-hand to help you with any issues you might have while navigating Cairns - your host family will show you around the area, local shops, public transport, and help you decide which activities are worth checking out and the best spots to do them.

With this particular option, you will have 15 one-to-one classes per week, in which you determine the subject and material that you would like to work on, and your private tutor will prepare engaging and dynamic lessons based on your preferences.
With this programme, you will be completely immersed in the target language and culture. The private lessons will take place at the teacher’s home and are tailored to your needs and interests. The programme also includes accommodation in a private bedroom (Sunday to Sunday) and 3 meals per day with the teacher’s family.
