18 German General Courses for adults in Berlin

Study German with customised private lessons in your teacher’s home in Berlin. Your classes will add up to 15 hours per week and can be based on any subject or material of your choice. The main advantage of this home tuition programme is that you have constant access to German conversation partners, whether at home with your host family, or while you’re out and about exploring Berlin. One of the first things that comes to mind about Berlin is its reputation for being multicultural and international, so if you’re coming to the city from another country then you can feel assured that you will fit right in. Berlin is also known for having a reliable and complete public transport network, as well as being affordable. The meal plan for this option is full board, meaning you will receive three meals per day from your host family. HLI has a Local Organiser in Berlin who can help you resolve any issues you might have during your home tuition experience.

This course is ideal for students who wish to gain a sound understanding of the language through a well-rounded course. Course tuition is structured as follows: 16 General language lessons, 4 project sessions, 4 special interest lessons and 2 lecture sessions each week. Course material is not included in the price.

Carl Duisberg Centrum’s main German language programme is their Intensive course, providing their international students with 24 professionally prepared lessons every week at their Berlin location. This is a particularly popular choice for those individuals who intend to apply to a German university, and who therefore need to either improve their German language skills and/or obtain a certificate that demonstrates their abilities.

Public transportation (2 to 4 weeks): EUR 60-80. Airport transfer (in schedule): EUR 50 one way. Airport transfer (out of schedule or after enrollment): EUR 90 one way. Extra night EUR 100. Unaccompanied Minor Fee: EUR 40.

This course 2 activities per day (sports and sightseeing in Berlin and Potsdam) as well as 1 full-day excursion per week.
