You will agree on the topics that you would like to study with your teacher before you start this home tuition course, in which you live for a period of time in your teacher’s home in Nice, France. This course combines learning with free time in order to enjoy the beautiful city of Nice. The style of teaching is studying grammar and having discussions, focusing on the core components of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The goal of LSF’s Standard French course is to equip students with the tools they need to expand their knowledge and skills across a broad range of areas, including: listening comprehension, oral expression, reading comprehension, and writing.

A constant theme throughout the course will be using aspects of French culture to supplement the learning that takes place in the classroom, such as topics related to current affairs, social norms, and debates about any range of subjects.

The Standard French course in Montpellier is a part-time programme which includes 20 lessons/week (15 hours total) in small group classes. One of the most popular aspects of this course is that it offers an immersive experience, since classes are always in French at all times, and you can take advantage of living in Montpellier to get your daily conversation practice. During your time on this course, you can expect to cover the most fundamental aspects of language learning: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. You will be assigned to the student group that is closest to your current French language level, with the possibility of progressing to other groups as you improve over time.

Standard classes are generally in the mornings but during peak periods, they may take place in the afternoon as well from 14:15 to 17:30.

In this 15-hour-per-week course you will study the four main areas of language development: listening, speaking, reading and writing. On this programme, you will find yourself immersed in a French learning environment, since you will be living with your teacher in their family home. Your weekly schedule needs to be agreed upon with your host, and you will have 15 hours of private classes to distribute throughout the week.
