Venue: Donegal English Language School is located outside of the town of Bundoran in Ireland’s County Donegal, alongside the Wild Atlantic Way trail looking out across the sea. The coastline here in northwestern Ireland has long been an attraction for tourists who, in the summer months, make use of the naturally formed swimming pools and sandy beaches, while the town of Bundoran’s fairy bridges and wishing chair have been an attraction since the late 1700s.
The school: Donegal English Language School, or DELS, has a large building with a long lawn in between it and the Atlantic coast. It is a family run business with more than a 30 year history. They welcome students, both juniors and adults, from around the world to study on their English only or English & Activities programmes.
Courses: DELS offers a wide range of courses which include General English, Business English, English and Work Experience programmes for adults and their English & Activities programmes are not limited to their teen students. Adults are also invited to participate in the English and Surfing or Hiking programmes. Junior programmes generally take place in the summer months and have a wide range of activities which can include Horseback Riding, Surfing, or a mix of varied activities. Family programmes are also available so everyone can learn and have fun, not just the kids.
Aurora Borealis: As an added bonus for students coming from more southern latitudes, County Donegal often has views of the Northern Lights.

In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
