Location: Inlingua Edinburgh is located in the enchanting Scottish capital city of Edinburgh. Housed in the centre of the city, students have everything they need in terms of cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies within walking distance. With attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, The Scottish National Gallery and the Edinburgh Dungeons within a 20-minute walk of the school, students are in a great place to receive top-quality tuition whilst enjoying the city of Edinburgh to its fullest.
School facilities: The facilities of this medium-sized school are excellent and designed to cater to the needs of students of all levels. These facilities include a library, lounge area, movie rentals, a student support desk and free after-class access to language learning software. All classrooms have heating, with most having an ample source of natural light to create the optimal learning environment.
Course selection: Course selection with Inlingua is extensive, with multiple choices to combine General English group lessons with additional private lessons as well as Spoken Performance. For more advanced students, Business English is available, in groups or privately, over a variety of schedules. Exam Preparation programmes in TOEIC, FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS exams are also available throughout the whole year.
Accommodation: Multiple options for Homestay accommodation are available, some of which come with the allocation of a private bathroom.

“All the staff/teachers I met at this school were very nice and helpful! Some teachers are very structured in their lessons, so that a lot of the content sticks. They reacted very flexibly and quickly to my request for a different level! The school is very well located, so it is easy to reach from all sides. I also found it very good that even those who still had classes in the afternoon could take part in the afternoon activities. The activities were interesting and you got to see something of the city.”
“The classrooms are in a very old building on the third floor and are relatively small. The rooms are also very cold. Many of us sat in class with our jackets on. We were provided with a heater, but it did not manage to heat the room. The sanitary facilities are correspondingly old. The lounge is far too small for all the students during the break. Unfortunately, there are also teachers who are not very good at teaching the subject matter.”

- I would like to book an English course at IH Edinburgh and I would like to know if I have to cancel my booking once I have paid in full, if I would be refunded the full amount paid.“Many of our schools have agreed to provide our students with a full refund of the cost of lessons if they cancel up to a certain number of days before the start of the course. On each school's page on our website, it is clearly indicated up to how many days before the start of the course students can receive a full refund under this Free Cancellation Policy.
However, as of today (2024), IH Edinburgh does not offer free cancellation. This means that once the booking is paid in full, if you decide to cancel, the initial prepayment is non-refundable. In addition, the school will apply a penalty fee, which means that you will not get back the full amount paid. The amount of the refund will be lower the closer to the start date of the course.
For these cases, we recommend that you take out our cancellation insurance, which can protect your investment in case you need to cancel your course.
