What we like about the school

Location: GLS - German Language School Berlin is located in the culturally rich and historic city of Berlin, Germany. The school is housed in the Kollwitzliez area of Berlin. There are many cafés, eateries, shops and various attractions such as the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark, the Museum at the Kulturbrauerei, the Kulturbrauerei Museum and several green areas within walking distance of the school. The Anne Frank Center is within a 25-minute walk of the school's main building.
Each camp location offers a different location with various attributes particular to each site. All campuses are within Berlin City, focussing on the various attributes surrounding the school during each course.
Course selection: These junior programmes are available during the summer months. They are fully immersive camps which are inclusive of tuition, accommodation, meals, activities and excursions.
Social and cultural: Activities that may be given within the programme include 2 activities per day such as sightseeing, sports, socialising and team building exercises.
These programmes also contain 1 excursion outside of Berlin per week.
All activities and excursions are supervised by GLS staff members at all times.
These programmes are attended by junior students from an international community, which has previously included students from Norway, Mexico, Poland, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Denmark, Russia, England, Italy, Greece, Portugal, the US and many more countries.

Special note for 2025 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2025 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

Comments about courses
In July and August, courses on fringe levels (i.e. absolute beginners and very advanced) may be moved to the afternoon if necessary (15:00 - 18:30). The recreational program is planned so that participants will not miss any activities.
