Q&A - Questions about English courses and schools in Brighton
- I need to know the exact timetable of my course in advance.
“The exact timetable is assigned on the first day of the course, after the written/oral placement test. In other words, it is not possible to know in advance. In fact, you may even alternate morning and afternoon classes. During high season, such as summer, some schools may alternate morning and afternoon classes to accommodate larger numbers of students or to avoid the hottest part of the day. For example, a group might have morning classes one week and then switch to afternoon classes the following week, thus allowing better use of the facilities and adapting to the needs of students and teachers.
”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Jun 26, 2024Will a standard course help me prepare for the CAE exam?“The standard course is a general English course and it focuses on all aspects of the language and you would definitely benefit from attending this type of programme but it is not an exam preparation course.
As your level of English is advanced and your goal is passing the Cambridge Advanced Exam, I would definitely recommend opting for the CAE preparation course.”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - Feb 22, 2024Which course should I choose to improve all aspects of my English?“I think that in your case a good option would be General English. These courses focus on all aspects of the language: writing, reading, grammar, conversation, listening comprehension, etc.
A standard course consists of 20 lessons per week, Monday through Friday. More and less intensive options are also available.”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - Dec 28, 2022Does the programme Kids Safari include lunch for the kids?“Lunch is not included in the price. Parents may collect their children for lunch together or provide a packed lunch for the school's supervised on-site lunch sessions.”Ana Carolina Dos Santos, LanguageCourse.Net - Dec 23, 2022I am looking for an English programme for two students aged 13 and 15. Is there any option for them in January?“At the time of writing, the schools Loxdale English Centre and BLC International run a junior programme (Winter Program) in the month of January.”Ana Carolina Dos Santos, LanguageCourse.Net - Dec 08, 2022I am looking for a course for my wife to prepare her for the A2 IELTS test in order to renew her visa, we live in Brighton and her English level is basic.“The minimum required English level to book the IELTS Preparation Exam in Brighton is B1. As an alternative, you can combine General English lessons with private lessons focused on the IELTS exam. Private lessons allow the student to focus on the missing links in their language acquisition or on a particular subject or vocabulary.”Ana Carolina, LanguageCourse.net - Oct 18, 2021FAQ - Frequently asked questions about English courses in Brighton

“Yes, Brighton is a great place to shop. Located on the south coast of England, Brighton is famous for its bohemian atmosphere, picturesque streets and cultural diversity. You'll find a wide variety of shops, from major brands to independent boutiques, from vintage clothing shops to contemporary art galleries.”Madly Simba, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 11, 2024For two 17-year-old boys is there a summer course/school in Brighton you would recommend to be in a class with people of similar age (we do not require accommodation but would like social activities)?“Of course, in Brighton we have many schools offering the Junior Summer Program: this is an exciting opportunity for kids from 11 to 17 to take part in English classes in an international environment, combined with extracurricular activities and accommodation in a complete package. However, if you do not require accommodation, contact one of our agents and they will be happy to assist you with the booking process. ”Veronica Romualdi, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Jan 05, 2024I would like to improve my English level that I've been studying for a year.“We have several schools offering courses in Brighton.
