Venue: International House Vancouver is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, a city bordered by mountains and sea, with many green areas where local wildlife make their home. The school is in Vancouver’s Chinatown, and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. It has easy links to public transport and the International Village Mall is just next door. Additional attractions and sites of interest within walking distance of the school include Andy Livingstone Park, Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, the Vancouver Chinatown Millennium Gate, the Vancouver Chinese Museum and the Rennie Museum.
Course selection: Course selection with IH Vancouver is extensive. In addition to General English programmes taught over various schedules and intensities, the school also provides junior courses, Business English, Academic English, Pre-High School English, University Pathway programmes and Exam Preparation programmes (TOEIC, TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS). Several junior programmes are available throughout the year for students aged 5-17 years. Students under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a guardian or adult.
Accommodation: IH Vancouver provides accommodation in homestays with local families and in shared student houses. The homestay families are carefully selected and located in pleasant and friendly residential areas. The student housing facilities are also in safe residential areas and offer adult students independence in their accommodation, trip and study experience.
