Location: Bayswater Vancouver is in the downtown neighbourhood of the city, a few blocks away from the waterfront of Vancouver Harbour. Downtown Vancouver has an excellent nightlife, with lots of bars, clubs and music venues to attend, as well as an excellent shopping district by day. The school itself is in the north of the neighbourhood, close to the CF Pacific Centre Shopping Mall and University Canada West.
Getting around: Bayswater is equal distance from the Granville and Burrard subway stations. These are both under five minutes by foot from the school, and have the Expo Line running through them. The Waterfront Transit hub is a train station, subway station and ferry point. It is an eight-minute walk from the school entrance.
Major attractions: Just 25 minutes by foot from Bayswater, is Stanley Park. Canada Place, which rests on Vancouver Harbour is an eight-minute walk from the school. The Vancouver Art Gallery is 6 minutes away from Bayswater, and close to Robson Square. The city’s features that are further away from the centre, such as Granville Island and Science World, are easily accessible by public transportation.
Course structure: There are general English classes at Bayswater, in a range of intensities, as both group and private classes. The school also offers Cambridge exam preparation courses and university preparation programmes for those who want to further their education in English or use it as a career.
