Île-de-France is a northern region in France. The River Seine runs through the province, from the North West to the South East. Île-de-France encircles the country's capital city, Paris. Paris is the heart of the region with the majority of important landmarks of Île-de-France found within its circumference. The Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum and the Arc de Triomphe are just some of the attractions of the city. South West of the capital city, is the smaller city of Versailles. The Palace of Versailles and the Gardens of the Palace of Versailles attract visitors from all over the world. Île-de-France is home to Disneyland Paris, a large entertainment resort with two theme parks.
