Location: EF International Language Center Munich is located in the Bavarian capital city of Munich, Germany. Famed for its beer, brewing, museums and architecture, Munich offers students a unique place to further their language studies. EF Munich is housed in the Lehel district, within walking distance of many of the city's cultural and historical attractions such as the Haus der Kunst, Maximilianeum, the Bavarian National Musem and much more. There are multiple shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets in proximity of the school, ensuring that students can enjoy the city accordingly. Munich International Airport is within a 45-60 minute journey of the school via public transport.
School facilities: The school offers facilities that include everything students may need to reach their language goals in a comfortable and friendly international environment. These facilities include full kitchen use for students, a computer lab, a lounge area, a games room, free WIFI and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise. All classrooms are equipped with heating, air conditioning and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.
Social and Cultural: EF Munich regularly organises activities and excursions for students to take part in throughout the year. Such trips can include skiing trips to the Bavarian Alps, walking tours around the city and much more!

This course is ideal for students who want to achieve a general understanding of German, with a balanced approach towards all of the main language skills. You will develop your abilities with EF Munich’s 26 weekly classes, and by staying with a local homestay family you have the opportunity to continue speaking German when you’re not in class or out in public.
The General German course also provides 4 Special Interest Lessons, which you can take advantage of to go more in-depth with topics that you would like to learn more about.
When it comes to meals, your host family will provide you with breakfast and dinner. In most families’ homes, breakfast is taken individually, while dinner is expected to be enjoyed together. The school recommends making an effort to be present for dinners, to foster a positive relationship with your host family - and it also contributes to your total time spent practising your German.

Course material
Generally course material has to be purchased by the student. The costs of course material will be approximately 55 € per course level.
Comments about courses
The cost of course materials vary depending on the duration of the course:
- Course literature (for English destinations) for bookings 1-6 weeks long: 55 EUR
- Course literature (for English destinations) for bookings 7-12 weeks long: 95 EUR
- Course literature (for non-English destinations) for bookings 1-9 weeks long: 80 EUR
- Course literature (for non- English destinations) for bookings 10-18 weeks long: 145 EUR
Cancellation Protection fee: EUR 85 (Non-refundable).
Students must book travel insurance, which covers the whole period of the course and stay in Munich. Students can book Erika Insurance Coverage via the school: - Two weeks: EUR 85.
- Per additional extra week: EUR 40.
Students can have another insurance but they must prove they have booked another one.
Accommodation: - The twin room homestay included in the tuition price can be upgraded to a single room homestay for EUR 50 per week.
- Homestays are no further than 45 minutes by public transportation from school.
- Residence accommodation is also available upon request and subject to availability.
Classes are likely to take place on some days in the morning and other days in the afternoon. Students will be given the exact timetable closer to the start date. These are sample times and lessons will fall within the time frames stated depending on availability and time of year.
Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 120 €. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
