What our students said about Glasgow

Unfortunately I have lived part of the experience in Lockdown due to the coronavirus emergency. The city is still excellent. It has all the features, services and nightlife of a large metropolis, is definitely safe, well connected to the rest of Scotland and the nation (excursions to Scotland's tourist destinations are not to be missed and, moreover, the center is on a human scale. You can go walking everywhere, I have used very little public transport but they seemed quite efficient. The city is very characteristic (and in my opinion really beautiful), everything recalls Scottish culture and history. only negative note the food in supermarkets, expensive prices and generally poor quality.

Modern city, overpriced.... Lots of cultural opportunities, great museums, free entry, so you can save some money. Going out is very expensive. Cheap train tickets, very good train connections to neighbouring towns. Very accessible islands in the area.

It is a very lively city with many young people and many students who come from many parts of the world. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant.

What language school directors said about Glasgow

Adell Mitchell

Glasgow has the nickname ‘The Friendly City’ and is loved for its culture, museums, music, nightlife and shopping, but most of all for its people. If you travel for 45 minutes east you reach Edinburgh, if you travel 45 minutes west, you reach The Highlands. Glasgow is easy to get around by foot, bus, train or subway.

Hogmanay
Hogmanay

31 December 2024Hogmanay is the Scottish celebration of New Year's Eve, whose origins lie in the Viking celebrations of the winter solstice. The nightclubs, bars and pubs of Glasgow organise extravagant, all-night parties, and old Scottish traditions must be respected, such as the singing of Auld Lang Syne right after midnight.
