Location: Die Akademie is located on the spectacular Balearic Island of Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The school is housed directly in the centre, with many cafés, restaurants, and shopping opportunities nearby. Attractions such as the Catedral de Mallorca, the Royal Palace of Almudaina and various museums, are all within moments' walk of the school's front doors, ensuring students have ample opportunities to create lasting memories from their experiences in Mallorca. The beach is also just a short walk away, ensuring that students can enjoy the comfortable temperatures that the island has to offer.
Course selection: Course selection with Die Akademie is vast, with the school offering lessons to learn Spanish, English, German and Russian. Spanish courses are available to students of all levels, over several schedules and intensities, with specialised Junior courses available during the summer months. Italian, French and Chinese courses are also available at certain times throughout the year.
School facilities: The school's facilities offer everything a student may need to reach their language goals in a comfortable and friendly environment. These facilities include a library, lounge area, cafeteria, fridge and microwave use for students and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise. Air conditioning, heating and ample natural light can be found in all classrooms, ensuring an optimal learning environment for all.

Special note for 2025 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2025 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

Other comments Despite the unanimous realisation of all 7 German-speaking course participants that there were sometimes considerable discrepancies in language levels (from participants who just completed an A1 course in the same school to 3 B1 level students who spoke fluent Spanish with the teacher), the school declined the participants' request to divide the group according to their levels, although this possibility was always offered as an option in the preliminary assessment. That was a cheek, so the school did not deliver in this regard.

"The host family was super nice and also eager to support the use of the language. The location was great, on a side street close to the old town. Not too noisy, apart from the rubbish trucks in the morning, but you probably have that problem everywhere in the city. "

"The room was nice and had a deluxe bathroom. The landlady let me store some medicine in her fridge and she greeted us when we came home. The beds themselves are old spring mattresses and while adequate are not very comfortable. Location was excellent. "
