Location: LAB - Languages Across Borders Vancouver is located in the culturally rich and diverse city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The school is housed in East Vancouver, a short distance from many amenities, stores, supermarkets, links to public transport and attractions. Attractions within walking distance include the Italian Cultural Centre, several green spaces, Trout Lake Community Centre, Trout Lake Beach, and Trout Lake.
Course selection: LAB Vancouver supplies many courses suitable for students of all levels, various ages, and many interests. In addition to General English programmes taught all year round, the school also supplies several immersive Junior courses throughout the summer, Academic English programmes, Exam Preparation (IELTS) and various combination programmes of English and additional subjects such as Applied Arts, Game Design & VFX, Culinary & Hospitality, and Business & entrepreneurship.
Social and Cultural: The school promotes a diverse range of activities for students to enjoy the nature, culture and beauty of Vancouver and its surrounding areas. Activities and excursions can include visits to many of Vancouver's attractions, such as Stanley Park, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Science World, the Contemporary Art Gallery, the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art and much more.

“There are two or three teachers whose teaching methods are good. Other teachers teach by playing games. Generally, the first class in the morning and afternoon from Monday to Thursday, which is more formal, the others classes are including some interactive. The extra classes on Friday are paid speaking activity. This week, the teacher was sick, so a new teacher led us to play word guessing games in the class. The class went by but there wasn't much knowledge that we can learn from the school. Compared with the other students who have been here for half a year, their English is not very good and I don’t feel that they have improved a lot.”
“The young girl who worked in the front desk of school was very unconcerned and unwilling to solve the problems. She didn't care about that we have spent 400 CAD a week to learn language, but take less course due to the holiday. What's worse, she questioned and embarrassed customers. So I didn't ask questions after that. Althought I would like to know more informations, I may book more course. I didn't reach out the agent Huilin by phone for several hours, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Maybe it's a misunderstanding. Overall the experience was generally very worthless.”

Other comments I had wonderful time at this school. It was all I had imagined. The teachers are really great, the classes are fun and you look forward to going to class. At this school, they really try everything to make your stay enjoyable. I have seen in more than one occasion that students who had been there for a while and had run out of money helped out at the school and in exchange, were allowed to continue participating in class. So, it's not just about making money, the human aspect plays a major role. You will have fun and learn a lot. The course helped me to overcome my fear of speaking. For me, it was definitely worth it.
You can change the classes every week, so if the course content is too easy for you, you can just ask them to switch you to a higher level. I had for teachers. Damian, Derek, Mark and Cynthia. Wonderful teachers. There were many students from Brazil, great people, you will love them. Vancouver itself is a cool city. Very multi-cultural with many many Asians. You can't go wrong with Vancouver and CSLI. I personally definitely go back.

Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 75 C$. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
