Location: ILM - Istituto Linguistico Mediterraneo Viareggio is located in the seaside city and popular tourist destination of Viareggio, in Italy's region of Tuscany. The school is a short distance from many amenities, shops, supermarkets and links to public transport. The school is within a 20-minute walk of the beach, the coastline and its attractions.

Course selection: ILM Viareggio offers Italian language programmes to students of all levels and several needs. In addition to General Italian, taught over various schedules and intensities, the school also supplies CELS Exam Preparation, CertIT Preparation, CILS Exam Preparation, Italian with additional subjects such as culture, art history, wine-tasting, cooking and much more. There are programmes specific to holidays and also opportunities to have six private lessons with your teacher per week, over lunch.

Accommodation: The school can provide accommodation in homestay facilities with local families and shared flats, subject to availability.

Social and cultural: ILM Viareggio is well equipped to supply information for students to enjoy the sites and happening sof the area during their time in Viareggio. The city is ripe with activities, happenings, social engagement and beautiful beaches. Popular sites of interest include several beaches, the Villa Argentina Museum, the Pineta Di Ponente, several hiking areas and a vast selection of restaurants and beachside attractions.

Getting around: The school is within a 10-minute walk of the Viareggio train station and has various bus routes nearby.

“The atmosphere at the school was very friendly and the teacher was good and very helpful. The school has very large rooms, quiet and clean. There were not many students my age in this period but during the week (I stayed there just 1 week) I took part of an activity for free: we learned to make pizza!!”

Other comments The facility for the first 2 weeks of our class was not a good learning enviroment, hot and noisy. The last week, ILM moved into a building which was an actual school that was much better. The teachers were great and tried their best in the less adequate conditions. The apartment the school arranged for us was above our expectations.
