This is a family-owned and managed school.
Location: California Language Academy Los Angeles is an English language school located in the unique and bustling metropolis of Los Angeles, in Southern California, USA. The school is housed in the Westchester neighbourhood of LA, close to several amenities and neighbouring shops, eateries, supermarkets and the Westchester Village shopping mall.
Getting around: The school is a short 5-minute drive from LAX Airport and a 20-minute drive from downtown LA. Attractions such as Venice Beach and the Santa Monica neighbourhood are slightly closer, within a 15-minute drive or 40-minute journey of the school via public transport.
Social and cultural: The school promotes social and cultural engagement as important aspects of "real world" English learning. They regularly update the notice board with activities and excursions, which can include walking tours around LA and its sites, excursions to the Hollywood sign, movie nights, nights out and much more.
The CLA English Plus options allow students to add activities such as scuba diving, paddle, surfing, yoga and soccer to their programmes!
Course selection: California Language Academy Los Angeles provides a large range of courses, with something suitable for adult students of all levels. In addition to General English, taught over various schedules and intensities, the school also provides Exam Preparation (IELTS, CAE, FCE, TOEFL, TOEIC), Pathway to College, Business English, and one-to-one tuition. Private lessons are available in conjunction with or independently from any other programme.
Accommodation: The school offers accommodation in many facilities in and around the school. These options include homestay accommodation within local families, shared apartments, one-bedroom apartments, student residencies, and more. Accommodation is subject to availability.
