Are you interested in studying French while learning about and enjoying the diversity of Quebec cuisine? Take French classes in the morning and in the afternoon, put your French and culinary skills to the test as you prepare pudding chômeur, poutine or tarte au sucre d’érable (maple sugar
pie). This program is perfect for those who want a true language and culinary experience in Quebec City.
- 15 hours of Core French classes per week.
- 15 hours of Quebec cooking workshops per week.
- 7 levels of instruction from beginner to advanced, based on the
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- The classrooms have between 5 to 15 students.
- Optional activities every afternoon after 16:00 and excursions on
weekends.
The Summer French & Cooking program includes 15 hours of language classes and 15 hours of Quebec cooking workshops per week. Spend your mornings in class developing your reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in French, and your afternoons diving into the gastronomical delights of Quebec cuisine. The cooking workshops are offered on-site, at the Collège Mérici’s professional cooking training centre and are taught by local professional chefs.
