The instructors are very passionate. Kind and helpful. Simone is very helpful.

Negative aspects

The rooms are small and need better ventilation or new fans. The white boards are dirty and they need new erasers. They didn’t offer many evening / afternoon activities. The pizza party ended at 23:00 to late to be walking the streets alone.

Beautiful Italian town, with beach and park and bike paths, good shopping, weekly market. There are also good transport connections by train to other Tuscan cities.

Organisation: although it was known that I have knee problems, the classroom was on the first floor and the hotel room in Luana Hotel (third week) was on the second floor without a lift. Plus a Covid student in the flat who we took care of. She was not allowed to attend school, the school didn't care about anything else.

Stairs with different heights, unsuitable for people with limited mobility. Otherwise very nice staff, super clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Rooms could be a bit bigger.

My teachers Benedetta and Laetititia were very good

Negative aspects

The school management was incapable and completely disinterested in offering even the slightest service. Requests for changes were ignored or brusquely rejected. Obviously, every cent was to be extracted from the pupils without any corresponding service in return.

All teachers are native speakers and really try very hard and appear very motivated.

If you have the feeling that the course level does not suit you, just talk to the respective teacher, they will be happy to help you find the right course. I could easily switch to a higher level when I noticed after a few days that my learning progress was different from the rest of the course.

Other comments

The textbook used could be renewed, both in terms of content and appearance it does not necessarily correspond to modern standards.

My friend and I only went for one week it is not long enough to develop the language however I would consider coming back for a longer period and maybe one to one sessions

Other comments

On the first day we were put into the wrong conversation class - it was above our level - but then we were put into a lower class the next day. It must be very difficult to teach in a class with students at different levels and different nationalities. I think the assessment should be given on the first day at school and the student, from the time of application to attending the school, should be given guidance maybe every two weeks until the start of their class. The test did not evaluate my level correctly.

Alessandra was great and my class was fun and interactive. Also liked the beach club we could use with a discount.

If you aren't happy with your level then ask to move - the school will accommodate changes. Make sure you take the train and do some sight-seeing..

I didn't think the book we used was very clear - but the teaching was good. Nice to be able to meet at the beach club but the school doesn't organise much to bring the students together.

I was very impressed that every request was met...be it personal or about a tour. The host family was wonderful. One day I left early not feeling well, when I was late the next day, my host family was contacted to see how I was.
