Sydney ratings & opinions
How our students rated their experience in Sydney
What our students said about Sydney
Sydney is a great city with countless beaches, bays and lots of nature. If you love the outdoors, Sydney is the place to be. Water sports, swimming, walks, relaxing in the Botanic Gardens, coastal walks, boat trips, trips to the Blue Mountains, zoo visits, exploring the city and harbour, etc. Public transport makes it easy to get around the city and reach everything.
The Opal card system is a real scam for foreigners because you cannot fully use the balance on your transport card nor get a refund for what is not used. The minimum recharge is 20 dollars, which is a lot. There are too many homeless people everywhere, it’s sad for them.
It's a great metropolis, you can experience and do so much here. So many people of different nationalities live here. For me personally, there are too many people and it's often too loud, too hectic and too crowded.
Very Asian orientated. I then also had contact with locals who feel the same way and avoid the city centre.
I already knew Sydney but stayed at Manly, I loved the atmosphere
Sydney is a very modern and nice to visit and live.
Really beautiful city, worth a trip.
