Location: The school is just south of the bend in the Main River, on the other side of the river to the centre of Frankfurt. It is in the Sachsenhausen neighbourhood, which has a blend of nightclubs, beer gardens, local restaurants and a popular river promenade. Sprachcaffe is in the centre of the area, a short walk from the Metzler Park and the museums that are housed there, and nestled in a residential area of the city.

Getting around: To reach the centre of Frankfurt, students can take a U-Bahn from Frankfurt (Main) Schweizer Platz. This is a 3-minute walk from the school and has U1, U2, U3 and U8 all running through the station. The journey takes about 10 minutes in total. In the same location, there is a tram station for Lines 15 and 16. There are a selection of bus stations scattered throughout the neighbourhood.

Things to see in Frankfurt: The main attraction south of the river is the Städel Museum. This is 11 minutes by foot from the school. The Römerberg public space is a popular attraction within the city. Students can reach this square by foot in 13 minutes by crossing the Eiserner Steg pedestrian bridge. Naturmuseum Senckenberg, museum of natural history, is to the north of Frankfurt. From sprachcaffe, this journey takes 20 minutes by U-Bahn.

Course structure: The school has German group classes for the general use of the language, private lessons, a university preparation course, a Testdaf exam preparation course and general German classes with the option for an additional sub course in either business or communication skills. There are junior packages during the summer holidays.

The location is very good. There is an open space on the first floor, but it is not on the floor where the lessons are held, and in the end it ended without conversation between the instructor and students other than the receptionist.
Insider tip: I don't know about group lessons, but if I don't actively make friends, I just go to school.
Review details
Quality of teaching / language progress: I took private lessons for a period of time, but I didn't introduce any optional recreation. The instructor was good and the reception was appropriate, but I didn't feel that I had attended school, and I just had the impression that I had taken classes.
Other comments The receptionist made it appropriate.
