Location: Peru Spanish in Lima is in the neighbourhood known as Miraflores located to the south of the city, which includes part of the coast. The area is an upscale area within Lima, with hotels, nightclubs, restaurants, boutique shopping and cocktail bars. The school is situated on a central road in Miraflores.
Getting around: The closest metro bus station to the school is Estación Benavides. It is a 5-minute walk from Peru Spanish. There are regular bus routes that pass the school for easy travel throughout the city. The school is located 3 blocks from Kennedy Park and 10-minutes walking distance from the coast cliff.
Main attractions: The Huaca Pucllana, a clay pyramid, is in Miraflores, and 15 minutes from the school entrance. Another attraction close to the south of the city is the Parque del Amor. This is a 10-minute walk from Peru Spanish. The other attractions in Lima are toward the centre of the city, and include the Lima Main Square, Museo de Arte de Lima and Circuito Mágico del Agua. It takes about 30 minutes on public transportation to reach these features from the school.
Course structure: The school has group Spanish classes and individual Spanish lessons. Each student will take a written and oral test before starting to ensure they are in the correct level. A certificate of completion is awarded to those that successfully complete their course.
Social activities: Three social activities take place during the weekdays, which last for one to three hours. On the weekends, students can join an excursion for either a full or half day depending on the activity. The excursion is often to a nearby city, to explore the surrounding culture.
Chain school: Peru Spanish is a collection of language schools in Peru that integrate the interesting culture of Peru with teaching Spanish to International students. The teachers all focus their course content on the communicative approach to help students to use Spanish to converse with others. Currently there are two schools operating in the capital city of Lima as well as the smaller but equally interesting city of Cusco.

Special note for 2025 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2025 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
