Location: Actilangue is located in the Gambetta neighbourhood of the stunning French city of Nice. Situated on the French Riviera, the school is surrounded by cafés, supermarkets, restaurants and boutiques. The famous Promenade des Anglais is within a 5-minute walk of the school's front doors, with many beaches and seaside attractions stretching all the way along the coast. Students have a fantastic opportunity to study French in a vastly experienced school with a fantastic atmosphere, whilst enjoying the beauty and attractions that Nice has to offer.
School facilities: A school with over 40 years of experience, Actilangue Nice is large and with many resources, offering students all they require to reach their language goals. Facilities include a library, lounge area, cafeteria and free after-class access to language learning software. Classrooms are all equipped with heating and have ample natural light to create the optimal learning environment.
Course selection: There are a variety of courses available to students of an Elementary (A2) level and above, with specialised courses in DELF Exam preparation taking place on specific dates throughout the year.
Accommodation: The French Riviera offers students much to see and do, accommodation often plays a vital part in a successful trip. Actilingua supplies accommodation in Homestay, Residence, Apart'hotel and Shared Flat facilities, ensuring students have all they need to enjoy their experience in Nice and with the school.

Special note for 2025 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2025 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

"Perhaps the language school could also come up with a concept for the individual lessons in advance. I was asked in the first lesson what I wanted to learn. That took me a bit by surprise, as I wasn't expecting to be allowed to help shape the course. I would have liked a bit more of a concept here. For example, a comprehensive vocabulary list on a certain topic that the participant would like to learn, along with new words that can be incorporated into the language.
The grammar script is great. I would have been very happy with vocabulary lists in any case! "

"Teacher Michele was good. The structural condition of the school shocked me as soon as I entered, as did the building in which the school is housed. There is little space, 1 toilet, 1 room with a sink. Our classroom was very small. In the 1st week we were taught in a different street * Private Catholic elementary school. The structural condition of the building was old, run down, in need of renovation. The classroom, however, was huge. There was an inner courtyard with a huge plane tree to enter directly from the classroom."

Quality of teaching / language progress: Teacher Michele was good. The structural condition of the school shocked me as soon as I entered, as did the building in which the school is housed. There is little space, 1 toilet, 1 room with a sink. Our classroom was very small. In the 1st week we were taught in a different street * Private Catholic elementary school. The structural condition of the building was old, run down, in need of renovation. The classroom, however, was huge. There was an inner courtyard with a huge plane tree to enter directly from the classroom.
Other comments As already mentioned, school buildings and premises can put you off. Better signage as to which floor the school is located on.

- What about long-term housing?“Actilangue can offer you host family accommodation, or accommodation in an Apart'Hotel Ajoupa. It depends on your preference. Other schools have other types of accommodation on offer. However, if you want to live in Nice for a few months, it might be better to look for something yourself for a longer period of time. Or you could stay in a host family for a few weeks first to get to know the city and get to know people, so you can find long-term accommodation from there.
