Location: Melbourne City College is well located right next to the Southern Cross Station, in the heart of Melbourne, making it an excellent base to explore the city. One of the greatest things to do in Melbourne explores the streets for both the amazing street art, appearing seamlessly around every bend, but also the diverse culture that it entails. The school is a very convenient meeting place for after class activities to do just that and there are an unlimited number of restaurants, bars and shops close to the school itself.
Support team: Melbourne City College understands that learning a language in a foreign country can be very challenging and they provide a very hands-on team at their student support desk to help students with a wide variety of issues.
Course structure: Students can choose between the General English class in the morning, the afternoon class or English for an Academic purpose. The English for Academic purpose is for students who wish to pursue the language in a further academic pathway. The course consists of 20 group lessons a week learning techniques such as discussions of current affairs, designing presentations or writing essays and reports coupled with 5 hours of self study. This creates a learning style where students can reach their full potential. The ethos of all lessons at this school is for the student to develop life long skills in the English language that they can practise well after their time at Melbourne City College.

Special note for 2025 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2025 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
