What our students said about Tunis
After comparing my own experiences with those of my female colleagues, I would venture the following hypothesis: as a European-looking man travelling alone, you are sometimes asked for money on the street, whereas as a European-looking woman you are invited to eat or drink. If you are lucky enough to make friends with the locals, you can have a great time in Tunisia. Orientation in the city, transport connections, opening times or price lists are not easy to find without the help of locals, as the internet often offers little help here. However, in my experience, people on the street are very friendly and happy to help. However, you should speak French or Arabic. Knowledge of English is usually not enough. Tunis has many interesting places that are worth visiting twice and the food is very tasty.
Most recent student reviews of language schools in Tunis
Although the school itself is rather modestly equipped, as someone who has already attended several Arabic courses, I judge my teacher Layla to be exceptionally competent. This is because, in addition to her patience, helpfulness and motivation, she was also able to adapt very well to my individual level of knowledge by starting the lesson each day with a short conversation at my level and building on this.
