Murcia is a southern region in Spain, sharing its name with its capital city. The city of Murcia is to the south of the province and houses the Catedral de Murcia, Real Casino de Murcia and El Valle Golf. Cartagena is a city on the coast of the region, which has attractions such as the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology and the Teatro Romano de Cartagena. Cape Palos is a good spot for scuba diving and also has the Calblanque, Monte de las Cenizas y Peña del Águila Regional Park and La Manga. To the West of the region is the city of Lorca, known for the Castle of Lorca, a medieval structure.
