I loved the teachers. They were very professional and knowledgable. Also, overall the school staff took great care to ensure all students were well received in the school and that we had everything we needed to enjoy the school and the city.
Insider tip: The whole small town is so enchanting. If you enjoy the great outdoors and warm mineral spas, this is the place to go. I would recommend renting a bike during your stay.

Other comments The school offers a great cooking class and I would highly recommend this class to all students. During the day you will take group language lessons and in the evening you will visit a local restaurant and prepare a full dinner and enjoy it with your chef. A wonderful experience not to be missed!

The teachers are extremely competent, friendly and committed. There is a family atmosphere at the school and it is fun to stop at the bar in the piazza during the break. Bagno di Romagna and San Piero are small and accessible!
Disliked
The only downside is that no group courses were held at my level!

Quality of teaching / language progress: In addition to the language course, the cooking class with the friendly and dedicated chef Carmen at the Osteria del Teatro was really great! We prepared typical dishes from Emilia Romagna, everything tasted great and the atmosphere was very welcoming and cosy!

It's a small school and all staff were very personal and friendly. There was a very good ratio of teachers to students. All the students spoke Italian all of the time - during breaks, in the evenings and during weekends.
Insider tip: Bagno di Romagna is very small but, it is a really lovely little town.

We were only 3 students, similar ages, similar prior knowledge. The lessons took place on time and were well structured. We had 2 teachers, both very pleasant. I have nothing to criticise about the lessons.
Disliked
It is a small village. It's a nice area, but I don't think it's very suitable for people who want to experience a lot of different things outside of school. I was only there for a week and chose the place deliberately. There was a programme in the afternoons. Mountain biking for me on 3 afternoons. It was very nice, 2 very nice guides here too. Only 2 dates would have been enough for me, but I don't think the school was very flexible! I actually got annoyed once: I joined a museum visit one afternoon. 50 km to the museum, private journey. There was a guided tour, in which a few tourists also took part. A teacher from the school was present, whose only job was to be there. The entrance fee was 5 euros, including audio guide. I was charged 40 euros by the school for this excursion. I didn't think that was ok.

The school was close and it was good that we were not so many in a class.
Insider tip: If you want to cook in San Piero, it's important to have a car. Otherwise, it's long when it's November.
Review details
Other comments It may be useful to know the fact that when you reach November, the city becomes very quiet and several cafes etc. close. Even though there were only two of us in the class, I often felt like an outsider because of my language level. Maybe the teacher did not push me hard enough. It was hard at times to feel a part of the team and I considered even going home before the time.
