Location: International House Bangkok is a language institute located in the bustling and unique Thai city of Bangkok, Central Thailand. The school is housed in the Watanna District, close to many eateries, shops, public transport systems and many sites of social and cultural interest. Such places within walking distance of the school include the Terminal21 Asok shopping mall, EmQuartier, Lumphini Park, Benchalitti Forest Park and more.
Course selection: IH Bangkok supplies a wide range of courses suitable to students of all levels and many interests. In addition to General English, available over several schedules and intensities, the school also provides Teacher Training, Business English and Exam Preparation for many different exams ( Cambridge, IELTS, SAT, GED, TOEIC.....). IH Bangkok also supplies customised Thai language courses to meet the needs of students of all levels.
Accommodation: The school is happy to assist with accommodation, subject to availability. In addition to having reasonable prices for several local hotels and residences, the school can offer further recommendations and options that students may book independently.
Social and cultural: Bangkok is a city that offers many social and cultural opportunities for students of all tastes and preferences. In addition to having food from all over the world, the local Thai cuisine is something that should not be missed! “I would highlight two aspects:
- Very small groups. Although there were about 50-100 students of Thai origin in the school, we were only about 10 foreign students. We were grouped into three groups. In my group (upper-intermediate) we were 4 students during the first week and only 3 students during the second and third week.
- The teaching methodology. Class sessions were taught by different teachers. During the three weeks I had 7-8 different teachers and everyone knew at all times what content had been worked in the previous classes and what content they had to teach.”
Insider tip: “I can only say positive things about the school. As for my accommodation, I stayed at Aiya Residence Hotel and it was fine. However, I would like to note that the only difference between the superior room (9000 bth) and the deluxe room (13000 bth) was the space (32 m2 versus 40 m2) as they offered the same. Therefore, I recommend you to choose a superior room instead of the deluxe (I chose deluxe because I was told superior rooms were in poor condition which was not true, because a friend stayed there a few days and was able to check it). Also, I must add that I had to pay about 50 euros extra for electricity and water. I think in Bangkok you can get better accommodation and better located for the price I paid.”

The only social activity conducted by the school once a week was organised by the teachers themselves every Wednesday evening and consisted of a dinner, a game of bowling or going out to a pub.
