Positive aspects of school
Excellent standard of teaching from Gulia B and Christiano. Great location. Good value for money. Sylvia B was a great guide.
Negative aspects
The split site made it difficult for some students to get to class and have a break - also more difficult to socialise. Not enough toilets. Having lessons in the afternoon made it harder to structure my day. More could be done to bring students together, e.g. a WhatsApp group and default evening meetup point.

Positive aspects of school
The subjects were well thought out. They were useful and relevant to everyday life as opposed to some courses that teach about elephants, the zoo, and other irrelevant topics not useful in everyday life. The lessons started and ended on time. My teacher was very observant of the students understanding and quick to adjust to make sure every student was understanding the lesson. Teaching was intense in the mornings and more fun and interactive in the afternoons which was a very good combination. I am amazed at how many topics the teacher covered in 3 weeks. I felt that I learned a lot in a short time and would highly recommend the school to others.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Yes - don't forget to study. I discovered after a a few days that I needed to study in addition to attending classes. The homework assignments were helpful and got me into the habit of studying (it had been a long time since I went to school!).
Other comments
Helen is an awesome asset to the school. She makes everything work like a clock. She is multi-lingual, she knows all the schedules, all the classes, all the extra activities and is a cheerful and willing assistant to students.

It was a lovely, international course with 12 participants aged 18 to 67. The age difference was not noticed in class, which was mainly due to the exciting, methodical class led by the teacher (Christiano). It was a lot of fun and the learning progress was considerable for me. Thanks!

The whole city is nice! I liked especially the place where the school is. Everyday after school we were drinking a beer and eating a panino at the stairs of the church in front of the school :)

There are a lot of Japanese people at the school (I think over 90%)! They are really nice but in the beginning it's difficult to make friends when you're a foreigner on your own. But after 2 or 3 weeks you like them all ;)

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Go buy food at Pennymarket, it's cheap and good. View the town from Piazza Michelangelo. It's wonderful.
Other comments
Florence is fantastic but full of tourists, very expensive and - depending where you live - extremely loud. Don't forget earplugs. The weather is still nice well into October.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
The open-air pub (disco) "Le Murate" ("Vie di Fuga")is a great place. Hotel "Baglioni" has a nice terrace that offers a great view over Florence...so do Fiesole and Piazale Michelangelo.
Other comments
Florence is a very beautiful city. I felt really comfortable there - I only wish that I could have stayed longer.
Our appartment was nice - a bit dirty though, but the location was gorgeous and we had the whole flat for ourselves. The school was less than a one minute walk away...and Ponte Vecchio (city center) was about a 5 min. walk.

For me 2 weeks were just perfect since my accomodation was not very clean. But for learning Italian I would have liked to stay at least a month. That would be perfect for a beginner.
