Location: Swan Schule Essen is a German language institute located in the city of Essen, in western Germany. The school is housed in the heart of the Ruhr area, along the banks of the River Elbe. There are eateries, places of social and cultural interest, links to public transport and shops nearby. Attractions and sites of interest within walking distance of the school include the Grillo Theatre, the Lichtburg Movie Theatre, the Hirschlandplatz, the Essener Weihnachtsmarkt, several shops and shopping malls, and more.
Course selection: The school supplies German courses in 8-week blocks for students aged 17 years and above at various intervals throughout the year. In addition to General German programmes available to students of all levels, German for Doctors is also available several times throughout the year.
Getting around: The school is a short distance from the Hirschlandplatz subway and rail station, offering travel around the city.
Social and cultural: Swan Schule Essen provides a varied activity and excursion programme for students to enjoy during their time in Essen. Sporting and cultural activities are available so students can practise their language skills inside and outside of the classroom in real-life scenarios.
Accommodation: The school can offer accommodation in apartments or student residences, subject to availability. Both options do not come with meal plans.
