Venue: Reggio Lingua is located in Reggio Emilia, a quiet and welcoming city not far from Bologna in the Emilia-Romagna region. The school rests just on the outer edge of Reggio Emilia’s hexagonal historic centre. Attractions such as the Romolo Valli Theatre, the Sala del Tricolore, the Museo del Tricolore, the Galleria Parmeggiani and the Temple of the Blessed Virgin of Ghiara are all in this area, about a 15-minute walk from the school entrance.

Transportation: Reggio Emilia is a small Italian city, and it is possible to navigate the city on foot. There is an intricate bus system, with plenty of stops close to the school. The Reggio Emilia railway station, five minutes from Reggio Lingua, has connections to neighbouring cities such as Bologna, Modena and Parma. Just outside the city centre there is a second train station, Reggio Emilia AV Mediopadana. From there, students can travel by high speed train to major destinations further afield: Rome, Milan, Florence and Naples. The local airport is less than a 10-minute drive from the school.

Course structure: The school offers standard or intensive Italian lessons in either larger groups of 5-8 students or in smaller ones of 3-4 students. Private lessons are available at the school, as are two-to-one lessons for students travelling together who are at the same language level. Reggio Lingua also offers online lesson options.

Cultural activities: Reggio Emilia is rich in Italian culture and Reggio Lingua suggests free time activities to enrich the students’ stays in Italy, providing them with the opportunity to participate in different aspects of the local and national culture. This is encouraged through afternoon cultural visits and events at local hot spots.
