Location: The school is well located within the city of Byron Bay. It is close to the central features of the city including the boutiques, trendy eateries and surf bars that line the streets. It is just over a 10-minute walk from the main Byron Bay Beach, and all that the beachfront has to offer.
Travelling around Byron Bay: The city of Byron Bay is small enough to walk around. For those wanting to explore the area, there are two main options; use the local bus service or hire a bike.
Sights of the city: The most exciting things to see in Byron Bay rest along its coast, and more specifically on Cape Byron. Here students can enjoy some quieter beaches such as Wategos Beach and Clarkes Beach, visit the lighthouse with excellent panoramic views and walk along the pass. This area is accessible by foot and takes around 50 minutes to reach the lighthouse from Lexis English.
Course structure: General English classes, private lessons, Cambridge exam preparation courses, IELTS exam preparation programmes and junior packages are all taught at Lexis English.
School facilities: Lexis English has a reception with information desk, student lounge, ping pong table, television, travel desk, terrace with a cafe and a large garden with a volleyball net.
Social activities: There is an intensive social programme at the school with daily free activities that students can attend including beach activities, sports, cooking, competitions and movie nights. The school also organises day trips or weekend excursions, as well as party nights.
