Location: The school is located in the La Carolina neighbourhood of Quito. The area is filled with green space, museums, boutiques and a lively nightlife. In the centre of the neighbourhood is La Carolina Park and the Botanical Garden of Quito, which is the main attraction of the area. It takes 11 minutes to walk to the gardens from the school. In the streets around the school are restaurants, cafes and local stores.

Exploring Quito: The Historical District of Quito is considered the centre of the city. This is 30 minutes by bus from LatinoSchools. This is where the majority of the attractions of Quito are including the Basílica del Voto Nacional, Independence Square and San Francisco Catholic Church. There are a number of bus stations close to the school that stretch across the city, for easy travel during your stay.

Course structure: General group Spanish courses and private lessons are available at the school. It is also possible to integrate the two styles and have a combination course. LatinoSchools has an activity programme, which mixes group Spanish courses with a social activity calendar. This is an excellent way to integrate the Spanish you learn in class and use in real-life settings as you explore the city.

Accommodation: Homestay accommodation can be added to all the courses at LatinoSchools. This option really helps students to immerse themselves not just in the Spanish language but in the culture.

Quality of teaching / language progress: My first teacher was good; but, my second teacher was much better for my needs and learning style. I may not have continued if I hadn't been switched to my present teacher as we spend much more time conversing using a variety of topics and thereby expanding my vocabulary and my ability to clearly express my ideas. My first teacher frequently played long videos which didn't help me at all and is something I can do and do do on my own at home.
